Platone Folding Desk in Ebony by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli | Italian Space Age | 1960s

The Platone folding desk in dark brown was designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1970. It features the three-disc mechanism found on all his bestsellers, including the Plia and Plona  folding chairs. Made in Italy of tubular steel and ABS plastic. In very good vintage condition with light wear commensurate with age and use (see small imperfection in last photo).
